Southbank – Bratislava

Southbank is a new district of Bratislava that will be located south of the Danube river. Here, there is a unique opportunity to create a strong relationship to the water for the residential and office buildings. By means of a central “green loop”, the three sub-areas of the competition site will be connected across the street space and made accessible for pedestrians and cyclists. Around this central node, high-rise buildings for office and residential use are placed, whose facades are oriented towards prominent reference points. Towards the water, flatter row and open block structures are created, creating visual references to the Danube floodplains. On the open spaces around the loop, offers for sports, leisure and culture are created.
